A Visit to Sepang GoldCoast

Sun is here! And talking about summer, it’s all related with the sun, beaches and hot chicks in bikinis. Today, an ordinary summer Sunday, I sacrificed my chance for watching Toy Story 3 and hanging out at Time Square to buy my gothic clothes and creepers just to have a day under the sun! Well, sorry for disappointment, I’m not that hot chick in bikinis… XD

In order to make the vacation even more dramatic, I even dressed in khakis to make it more primitive and jungle-like. I hope I succeeded. It was actually kinda nice to drive under the summer sun with summery songs like Billionaire, I’m Yours and Fallin’ For You in the air. From KL to Sepang, it took about one and a half hour, but it was okay because the scenery of the journey was so picturesque. The only thing that regretted me is that I broke my sunglasses so I had to face the glare of the sun.

Well, back to the main dish, Sepang GoldCoast is famous for its unique palm tree design water chalet architecture. If not mistaken, there are only three on Earth now. Two in Dubai and one of them is in Sepang, Malaysia. So, as a Malaysian, you really gotta support Malaysian’s product! By the way, it’s official grand opening is in July.

Here, the grand lobby of the resort. Well, I am so sorry that I was not allowed to enter the resort even to visit because it’s restricted for hotel guests only. Of course, no money no talk. If I put down seven thousand bucks for a two nights stay, they would have welcomed me with opened arms and welcome drinks…

Compared to Avillion, Port Dickson, if you have seen or still remember the posts I wrote a few weeks back, I realised that the architecture and decorations here in Sepang GoldCoast is more to tiki style. Look at the bamboos and straws on the roofs, you can actually feel the tiki touch, while Avillion is more to traditional Malay sensation.

Well, the resort is way bigger here. Just imagine you have to ride a buggy whenever you wanna travel from the hotel room to the restaurant… Alright, talking about the restaurant, here is it.

By the time we arrived, it’s already noon. All they had for us is just steamboat and what we could do is just to eat what we were offered because it’s far from the city and we had to travel at least half an hour to the nearest town. And the nearest town… is much of muchness of a cowboy town. I hope you got what I mean. And well, the rest of the pictures is all about me and the sun…XD
