Happy Birthday to Myself

Do you know how did I start my day? It was an awesome beginning, though the ending is… well, not so awesome as I had to face the lab reports. It is so far, the best birthday that I had.

Oh yeah, talking about how I started the day. It has to be from last night when I received a call from my friend, Valerie last night at ten o’clock. It was so sudden that she called me out. I didn’t even know what to tell my parents. But, eventually, I agreed to join her adventures.

Even my parents were shocked when I told him I’m going out at such a moment. He must have thought something’s bad happened to my friend. Well, I still made it through the gate and the curfew-man.

My friends were already at my doorstep when I got down. His friend, also my friend, Ah Chris was dressed in his traditional Chinese clothes, while I was in a shirt one level better than my pyjamas. I felt kidnapped when they told me that they are going to visit a friend when I got into the car.

Eventually, we hung out until hour 0000, when they sang me a birthday song. It was awesome to visit a friend at almost midnight. It was awesome to visit the deadly town when the sun was down. It was great to have friends with me as I welcomed the day

The Second Day of the Dragon

Just finished my work. Well, it’s not easy to juggle between studies and part time jobs actually. Luckily, the paycheck convinces me a little.

Anyway, all I can say is I had a kinda promising day today. A lot of good food and a movie. Ain’t that bad after all.

And we witnessed a lion dance at the hotel we dined in. Not much photos taken today. And not much I could say. I just hope that the cheerfulness of this festive season would last for the next 12 months.

Stepping into the Dragon

Gong Hei Fatt Choy to y’all descendants of the Dragon! Rawrrr! Probably, many of my friends may be a little disappointed that I’m not wearing anything’s traditional. Oh, well. I didn’t take much photos too.

Early in the morning, I was awakened by my brother, who was already dressed in the traditional tangzhuang that I bought for him. And he asked me to help him to take photos.

Then, after that we went to KLCC to watch a movie. I don’t know why I have lost my interest to watch movies already. Hmm… perhaps, it’s Chinese New Year. That’s why. I wanted to do something’s special and more inspiring.

Our Reunion Dinner

Usually, I don’t post about all these. Perhaps, I was inspired by the oncoming video that we are gonna film or perhaps, I was inspired by the 2012 apocalypse. I mean, we really should cherish every moment of our life and those who are still around us, right?

Our simple reunion dinner. Nothing much, really. Just my mom’s cooking.

I couldn’t be on the scene for my duty as a photographer. Well, I wasn’t dressed up properly anyway. Hopefully, I can take more photos on the first day of Chinese New Year, which is, yes, tomorrow!

My 20th Birthday

My very last teen birthday, celebrated earlier, and in a very unique way. It was not because of me, but more to for a friend of mine, Shalini, who is going to India to further her studies soon.

So, I got this idea to celebrate our birthdays together. It’s just three days apart after all. Life is a mystery. We do not know what will happen in the next second, so it is wiser to cherish every second that we have now.

I could not care less about the tradition. I love a person while they are still alive. Ceremonies are after all, done to show others.

Alright, cut the crap! We had a very special theme this year. It’s a wedding-themed birthday party. Guests were required to dress in semi-formal. She was the bride and I was the groom

Nah, it wasn’t a grand party at the ball with disco lights and couples dancing after all. It was at Barbara’s house and we just got a few friends coming over and had some talk and fun. After all, we just wanna have fun.

Guess I caught your eyes attention with this catchy title? Oh, no discrimination here. I just wanna express my dissatisfaction through writing. Well, it’s better than punching, right?

Just today, I went to register for a workshop. I was really disappointed with the way they work there. It was a workshop about same-sex relationship. I NEED to join the workshop because as a scholarship student, I NEED to waive my hours by attending all these.

The thing is, when I went to register, I had to undergo an interview session. The fellow asked me if I knew anything about the workshop. Yeah, true. I know very little about it. If I knew more, I would be the one giving the talk. So, I just told that I went to a similar workshop before. She asked me why would I wanna join it if I went before?

That was really ridiculous. You guys come out with this stupid policy that requires us, scholars to join all these activities and now, you guys are asking me why? I told her the truth. I want to waive the hours!

Then, she told me that I could join other workshops. Damnit. You guys would do the same to me for the next workshop and you did this to me for so many times already! Then, she said like she’s giving more priority to those who are related. Really! Please emphasize that it is for gays/lesbos only if you are conducting such talk next time.

After all these craps, she told me that the workshop isn’t confirm yet. I wish they have a little respect towards us. Though we are under scholarship, we are still the students of the university. I dislike that particular department of the university. I wish I could get a feedback form from there.

Shame On Me

Oh, no. It’s not that Britney’s song. It’s just really how I feel right now. Okay, this is the story when I was shopping with my crew members to get their costumes. Guess what? We planned to film a 1.5 hour CNY movie this year. Oh, yeah. One of my resolutions.

Yeah, the filming is gonnabe whole year long. And the casts are required to wear traditional Chinese costumes *woots*. Usually, the characters that I took never require me to do all these silly things. This is a violation of contract…GRRR!

And so, we stopped by a stall to look for Valerie’s costumes where I was forced to get one for myself. Worst of all, they made me try it in public. I think you could see my eyes popping out of my skull if you were there. I don’t know. I just felt extremely awkward. I wanted to take it off ASAP.

Just then, I saw some Malay girls browsing through the clothes from the same stall. She too, put on the cheongsam to try and became hyped up and started jumping around excitedly. I was speechless. Just then, I saw my teacher posting a status about being excited about wearing cheongsam for CNY *sighs*. I think I am not Chinese. I feel the distance between us. Why can’t I love you like before?

Searching Within

Have you ever laughed so hard you feel your chest exploding? Well, maybe not that hard. These few days were filled with laughter. No annoying people interfering with my life. Or perhaps, those bastards still exist around me but I just don’t give a damn anymore.

I can say I am less stressed this week, compared to the previous. Workloads skyrocket but still, I feel better than before, really. I think i regained my confidence. I don’t really care how people think about me. I mean, I can’t please everyone and I am not born for that.

Working in the lab is actually not that bad after all. Yeah, I started to feel the tension of the near future already, when I see the stressed look of my seniors. That ‘so serious’ look they give… oh, dude, you are giving Biotechnology a bad name to your junior.

As happy time passes fast, I didn’t realise the weekend’s here already! My resolution for this week is to at least, get all my lab reports done! Oh, yeah, talking about lab reports, I really love the system of this sem. Not much writing is needed.

Dawn of the New Stress

Oh, yes. My new semester just kicked off this Wednesday. I am drowned by a lot of assignments and heavy workloads already. I just realized university life has just gotten worse.

My timetable for this semester is awfully terrible. There are three and four hours break in between. I have no idea what to do with them. Though I could fill those time with my scholarship work, I still find it ridiculous.

This will be the first semester that I will separate with my two foundation best friends, Wilee and Valerie. Yeap, my lonesome life has returned. It’s time for me to return to my writing world, except that those stories will come alive.

Talking about filming, I have no idea whether I can proceed with my next project or not. I hope I can juggle between them. I really want to film this coming video, though I know I will have to sacrifice my dignity. Reason is, I want to have an everlasting memories with Valerie, who is going to UK to further her studies soon.

Things are really getting worse in my life. I got into the most ridiculous accident ever. Can you imagine me crashing into a chair while driving on a highway last night? The accident left a painful scar on my heart, even deeper than the scratch it caused on my car.

I have no idea why there was a chair in the middle of a highway. I wasn’t on time to dodge it. Luckily there was no car on the next lane else, I would be writing this in the underworld now. But still, fuck the motherfucking bastard who placed that goddamn chair there.

Merry Christmas

It’s so fast a year has passed! This time, last year, it was so different. Many happy and sad things happened but of course, life has to move on. In conjunction of 2012 next year, I decided to really take the opportunity to celebrate this festive season and enjoy every moment of my life to the max.

Look at these presents! Enticing, aren’t them? I wish I could buy more but, I didn’t really get the chance to shop properly. Whenever I go out with friends, well… you just can’t choose the presents in front of the receivers, right?

Though this year, I wrapped the most presents, I kinda regret that I didn’t buy the presents earlier. I could have chosen better presents for my friends. Things just don’t go our way all the times :\

And the miracle of the day is, after so many years… I got a Christmas present :D! I It’s a very beautiful shirt from a good friend of mine. Anyway, the most important thing is someone is being thoughtful :’)!

A Tribute

Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your memory lives within me, forever in my heart. Rest in peace, my dearest grandmother.

Just last two weeks, I lost another of my dearest family members. It is very true that we only know how precious a person is when he or she is gone. Well, I have no more grandparents to love me now… :’(

It would be a lie if I said they hadn’t make a change in my life. My childhood would suck without them. Though it has been some time already, I still cannot get used to living without them.

If only I knew how much it hurts, I would have spent more time of my life being by their sides. If I could share a piece of advice with the world right now, it would be to treasure your beloved ones (or even those around you) while you still can.

I see the world in a different view now. I used to take tiny things, such as my study grades, financial status etc. too seriously. Now, I just wanna chill with my remaining family members and enjoy my life to the fullest.

As I witnessed the ceremonies of the funeral, I felt so fake. Remember this. Money can’t buy love. Neither can hell notes.

Scams or Sarcasm?

I still remember my parents telling me not to talk to strangers but then, ended up they scolded me for not helping when someone asked me for directions. I guess your parents have too, warned you enough of scams going around the city.

People steal phones by pretending to borrow them, steal wallets by pretending to ask for directions and the list goes on. Ironically, I don’t know why, I was/am always tested in life, in all sorts of situation.

Just recently, when my dad and I was waiting for my grandma in the hospital, an old woman came up to us, asking to help her to call her family to pick her up. I heard a voice whispering in my brain, “Beware of scams… beware of scams…”

Fine, it wasn’t so dramatic but, I was definitely fueled with doubts. I just remained silent as she talked with my dad. I only used mine to call when my dad said that his phone was out of battery. I still could not block the doubts out because I have heard a lot of these.

Anyway, she wasn’t evil and even offered to give me a few bucks, which I refused. I felt great but too, sorry for my evil thoughts about her. And this evening, I was tested for a second time.

I was stopped by a stranger the moment I stepped into a convenient shop, asking me to help him. Initially, I was surprised and I wished I could turn away but, that would look so bad. So I went on buying the thing I wanted. He asked me where were we. I told him the name of the place then, he asked me to talk to a fellow in the phone.

This time, my doubts doubled because I was alone. I suspected it a scam because he could have asked the shopkeeper. Initially, I didn’t know what to do because he just passed me the phone without saying anything to the caller.

But soon, he took back the phone and talked to the caller before passing it back to me. I talked with the fellow and showed the man in the shop the directions. I was happy to help again. Yes, it happened that my heart is the most hazardous scam of all… =.=

Taking a Break… I mean, Breath

Just had my University Chemistry mid-term last Friday and I’m facing my Biochemistry mid-term on Tuesday. *sobs* Everything in short semester is in a rush. I still haven’t done my assignment…urgh T^T

By the way, according to the saying, ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’, I need to take a break from my ~~headache~~ hectic schedule sometimes to enjoy life. And yes, I did! I took a day’s leave off to watch a movie and shop yesterday!

Yes, I finally bought my dream aristocrat blouse! Million thanks to my parents who bought it for me <3! Photos… later! I’m still not that free yet >D But I have a sneak peek of the skull ring I bought :)

Need not to worry as I shall camwhore as soon as my exams are over. Not to be forgotten, the video that I have promised… but, for now, I shall return to revision :(

A Short Visit to Forsaken Land

Mission Accomplished

I’ve always wanted to visit my grandmother, who is living kinda far from us. Yet, with my driving skills, I hardly dare to drive further than 30km. Yet, today I actually achieved my goal!

Yes, right after the lab session, I actually drove to the fast food restaurant beside my school to get some fried chickens… as I had no idea what I can get for her. Then, I drove alone a few miles away to the town, where she stays.

I went there before, but never drove there by myself. So, I was really worried that I'm going to lose my ways! Yeah, I don’t even own a GPS… that’s why.

I was driving for a long time. The road to the place she stays seems to be endless to me. And I actually thought that I lost my way as I almost overlooked the house. Yet, I eventually reached my destination, and I’m really happy to see her.

To me, it’s a double happiness, ‘cause I drove alone across the miles and visited her.

The new dawn

A new semester has kicked off *grunts*. That means, no more parties and staying up till sunrise.

Today, we had our first Uni Chem 2 class. A little bit boring because we learned most of the chapters in foundation, but a little bit relaxed as it is just the repetition of Gen Chem 2. I have an unpleasant feeling like retaking the subject, though.

My driving is skill okay, though I didn’t touch my favourite machine for a few weeks. Surprised that I could wake up this morning, though I was trying hard to not yawn in the class.

Alright, time to reset my wish list.

Oh, yeah, all that is missing in my closet is a corset! Yeah, that’s why closet rhythms with corset… Anyway, talking about corsets, there is one thing that I regret. I was once, offered by my parents to buy a corset, but I didn’t buy it in the end… and I regret.

Officially Broke

Dead as my Biology paper, my blog has never been updated for centuries… Well, my apologies. I have been busy studying for my finals. It seems that my hard work did not pay off after all.

Cut the crap! I had never had such an intensive shopping before. My friends, Wilee, Valerie, Steven and I headed over to Times Square just right after screwing the exam. And guess what, I bought a black, gothic blouse :D

Erm, don’t ask for photos please. I am too tired to model it now… but don’t worry! I’m sure I will… one day.

And the bandana I bought for a photoshooting next Saturday. The hair accessory is handmade, so I spent like 6 bucks on it only.

These days I have devouted myself to revision until I could almost go mad, so I decided to take a day off from books and lecture notes and went for a road trip with my father to a remote area, far away from the concrete jungle.

We went to a mall, a very tiny mall. My father had to attend a short meeting, so I had to take a lonely stroll there. The mall was in a rather old building and things sold there were common and unbranded. No Gucci or Zara, not even VJ or Applemints.

And so, I started my journey, exploring every corner of the building, scrutinizing every detail of mall and studying the behaviors of everyone that I walked past. As I was becoming a little bored, I decided to walk to the fashion department, to check out ‘how bad taste clothes can be’.

On my first sight, I decided that none of them would catch my eyes, yet after a short while, not only they caught my eyes, they too opened my eyes.

The clothes there and what I usually saw at Times Square were much of a muchness, but of course, they were cheaper. I felt kinda cheated.

I too, realized I have been too concerned with brands and names. I need to stop my unnecessary quest for greater fulfillment and experience a new level of gratitude now…I just want to live simple and happy :)

Long Time No Shop

Woots! After being grounded for almost more than one month, finally I got the chance to go out shopping again! And this time I drove to Times Square, with my friend Jonathan.

Sorry, not in a mood for photos. I just wanted to buy everything listed in my wish list. And yeah, saving photos in my phone and showing them to the salesgirls really saved me a lot of time and made my shopping life easier!

I’ve never bought so many things from I-Socks before. Well, I have to agree that their salesgirls now are way friendlier than before, which made me feel like buying. Previously, I didn’t even feel like entering the shop. Blueks! Thank God for the good change!

And opps, I think I’m broke again! It seems that I gotta start saving for the next trip again…!

My Brain is the Worst Film Production Company

Why? Why do I always miss the ending of my dreams? I often have wonderful and adventurous dreams, with me as the main character (well, that’s the best part) of it, but the problem with this production company is that the films are never complete… urgh =.=

Just like yesterday, I had a beautiful dream of me being in pursuit in a town so beautiful, that I wish I could stay there a lil bit longer. The story started with me walking in a town. It was a town that I have never visited before. There were single-storey shop lots along the way I was walking and the town looked a lil bit like a Chinese village.

I think I was walking alone, until I saw a guy dressed up in a blue samfu with gold dragon embroidery. I didn’t know how it happens that I turned out to be in pursuit by this guy. I think I insulted him or something. Even worse was he knew kungfu. Oh, yes, I remember me screaming “That’s not fair!” in the dreams.

Then, I was running all around the nice city trying to lose the guy. The beauty of the city was unable to be put into words (alright, I don’t know how to describe it, damn you). The most significant building that I remember is the temple-like building in the heart of the town. It was built on a platform stage with stairs connected to it. I remember it very well because after I ran up there, the dream ended. *sighs* I wish I could continue with Part 2 because I really wanna know the ending :(

My May-August Wish List

I think my shopping addiction has just got deeper and my money has just got drier. Urgh, besides that, those workshops I need to attend are sucking money from my drying purse. After deducting all those expenses, I feel like I’m living this life for others, not myself.

Well, no way, I’m ever gonna do that! Since I wanted to get a new bag for myself, I decided to go Goth this time. Here is the latest bag and also, the wildest bag that I’ve ever bought. Usually I never wear so many crosses, but more to skulls and chains…

I wanted to buy a coffin bag like this one, but sadly, it is against my ~~religion~~ tradition to have so-called unlucky things like this. Hmmm..

And my shopping list goes on and on and on, even after I have quenched my thirst buying this bag. Argh! Somebody save me! Well, maybe shopping is the only source of happiness left in my pathetic life. And somehow, it can be a source of motivation for me.

Yes, talking about motivation, my resolution in this semester is to get a 4.0. I know that sounds like having a cold day in hell. Well, actually, I have done some research and I learned that there are some part of Hell which are cold and they are extremely cold, literally, so it is possible :D

Somehow knowing that it is possible to have a cold day in hell motivates me. And if I can ever get a 4.0, I have promised to get myself several things. But, of course, if I don’t get 4.0, still I will have to buy something to cheer myself up.

A Cold Day in Hell

The chill air in the room pierced my skin like daggers. I was cuddling myself in my place. I took another glance at the time. It passed extremely slow, for some strange reason. Every second in the stone-cold room was torment. The silence between me and Wilee stretched out. She looked tired and wretched, as usual. She told me she just slept for an hour or so. I was with her. Our conversation ended at that point.

A few moments passed and I heard footsteps walking up the hallway. I closed my eyes and listened. The footsteps were getting louder as he walked into the room. The voices of chatter from the back fell into a grim silence. All eyes were on him as he was setting up his equipments. The room became strangely silent, I could hear my own heart beating.

I took out my notes from my bag, so as the others. The first half an hour of the lecture went smoothly and the tension in the room mounted. A sudden chill swept over the room as he raised his voice. I feel my stress level rising as he began to pick random students to answer his hardcore questions.

However, our lamentation did not last long, before he left the room for a break. I witnessed as almost more than three quarters of my classmates were leaving the room. Even Wilee grabbed her bag and was leaving.

“One and a half hour of this torment is enough for today,” she said with a sigh, before she went out of my sight.

My eyes glued on her back until the last strand of her hair went out of sight. Then, I turned at the people sitting behind me.

“You staying?” I asked.

“Why am I staying here? To disturb him some more?” she replied moodily.

The conflict between my heart and my mind arose. I heard a whispering voice in my brain, urging me to leave the room. Maybe my ‘flight or fight’ response had been activated.

After a while, only ten or so were staying, scattered around far from each other. Some of them were copying each other’s answers at the back. Some were emo-ing. I took a long, hard stare at them. Then, I made up my mind, grabbed my bag and walked to the back of the class to get myself a seat near to the others. I would never sit alone in front.

The other classmates of mine started to grab their belongings and sat near to each other until we formed a small crowd at the back of the room. Even the foreign student in our class, who wasn’t so close with us, came to sit with us.

“I didn’t bring my questions,” he said, “I don’t want him to ask me ‘where are your questions? where are your questions? where are your questions?’ again.”

We burst into laughter. Suddenly, we became like a family. That was the great source of warmth in the cold room. As everyone had found themselves a safe place to sit, he slipped in again like a shadow, through the back door, controlling every one of us through fear. No one ever dared to look into his fiery eyes.

He put down his belongings, his eyes ran over the room.

“Why are you all sitting at the back?” he asked.

“It’s cold in front there,” some of us said in unison.

“What? I don’t believe you,” he said, smirking, “This is ridiculous.”

We often see massive house parties in the movies. With the endless rounds of alcohol and rock music blasting out loud, I can hardly deny this envy. However, when it comes to the real life, it is totally a different story.

Perhaps, it is the society that I am living in. Or maybe, I’m just not that popular. Not one of the parties that I organize will work according to the plans. Yeah, I brag to have fabulous plans, but every time, they just get blown off by various reasons.

Yeah, I’m planning to throw another Halloween party this year, if all the factors will it. You know, I have no luck in parties. And I hope this doesn’t turn out like how the previous ones did.

In my dreams:

The whole college attends the party when I have only invited a few close friends of mine.
Everyone starts to dance when I turn on the music.
Everyone mixes around and has somebody to talk with.
Everyone’s enjoying and having fun.
Everyone arrives on time and the events go according to the plan.

In real life:

Only a few out of the invites I sent out actually arrived.
Awkward silence.
Guests arriving when everyone started to clean up.
Last minute withdrawal from attending.

who purposely talk and sing loudly in public, trying to hook some attention onto their ass. If you wanna be famous, grow some balls and be a real one. No one appreciate your voice here.
Line cutters
who eventually infect everyone into the same crime. When someone starts this plague, everyone will start to follow and it ends up with everyone cutting in each other’s line and the gracious ones are doomed to be waiting forever.
Narcissists
who think that they are always the best and others are a pile of shit. I don’t care even if you are a Nobel prize winner. With that kind of attitude, you are beneath contempt. Build a bridge and get over it, alright?

An Iranian Date with Wilee

It’s been yearsssss… since the last time Wilee and I ate out. We usually have our simple lunch at the cafeteria in our university, but suddenly today we had cravings for Iranian food, so we decided to have our lunch at one of the Iranian restaurants nearby our school.

We could not understand what the owner of the restaurant was saying. In the end, they ended up serving us BBQ lamb with bread… =|

Long time didn’t see my face, right? Yeah, no mood to be on camera lately. I was snowed under by tons of assignments and projects. Well, back to the food, Wilee and I were so tempted to taste their cheesy French fries. Some day Imma try to cook that cheese!

My mood of the day is not so good. Deadly disappointed with students who cut my line during PTPTN documents inspection time. I could have done it in an hour time, but due to a gang of people who cut the line, I ended up waiting for two hours.

The good thing is I got to do my revision while waiting for my turn. Revising while you are in wrath does help improving your memories. Well, at least all those shits are over now, finally.

All I need to do now is to have a great sleep. Ops, it’s just 8.30pm and I’m heading over to dreamland already. Tomorrow, I’ll be having my Biology test… you know I have not much chemistry with Biology right? Alas, things in life are not like songs in my I-pod, but rather like those on the radio… with the DJ who’s talking too much in between songs.

We often hear of the saying ‘tears are made of 1% water and 99% feelings’. Those are not only beautiful words, but too, a scientifically proven fact.

Studies have shown that chemical composition in tears varies with type of tears that we shed, which clearly explains why they are made of 99% feelings.

Tears are secreted from the lacrimal glands, which flow through the main excretory ducts of the eye into the space between the eyeball and the lids.

Three types of tears which we are familiar with are as below:

1. Basal tears

The natural lubricant of the eye, which keep the cornea moist and nourished at all times. Basal tears contain chemicals such as mucin, lipids, lysozyme, lactoferrin, lipocalin, lacritin, immunoglobulins, glucose, urea, sodium and potassium in the fluid.

The salt content of basal tears is similar to that of blood plasma. Approximately 1.1 grams of this type of tears is secreted in one day, and the rate decreases as we age.

Mucin serves as the lubricant, which facilitates the chemical components to adhere to the tear film.

Lysozyme serves as the knights of the eye, protects and defenses the eye against bacterial infection.

Lactoferrin is one of the main substances which controls the inflammatory responses and cell growth, besides serving as a protective shield against infection and allergenic recognition reactions. This protein stops bacteria from getting together.

Substances such as urea, sodium and potassium are excreted as tears are drained from the eye as a part of the lacrimal excretory mechanism.

2. Reflex tears

The name explains it all. We shed reflex tears as a result of eye irritation. Substances such as onion vapor and tear gas can cause your eye woes, which results in the shedding of reflex tears.

As a result of negative feedback, these reflex tears are responsible to clear the foreign substances from the eye.

The chemical components of reflex tears are the same as those of the basal tears.

3. Psychic tears

Tears of happiness is an example of psychic tears. Lacrimation, or commonly known as the act of crying, due to emotional stress, releases psychic tears.

Psychic tears contain approximately 24%more protein-based hormones, such as prolactin, adrenocorticotropic hormone and leucineenkephalin.

William Frey, a researcher discovered that toxic substances are eliminated from our body through the stress-induced tears.

Prolactin is a hormone responsible in the regulation of mammalian milk production. This explains why is it found in much higher concentration in the tears of a female than that of a male. Since this hormone is responsible for the formation of tears, the frequency of lacrimation depends on the level of prolactin in the body.

When prolactin makes you cry, Endorphins are there to take your tears away. They are endogenous opioid peptides that functions as neurotransmitter. Endorphin interact with the opiate receptors in the brain to reduce the perception of pain.

Leucineenkephalin serves as a natural painkiller. Enkephalins are morphine-like substances, which obstruct the transfer of pain signals in the spinal cord. They have the similar functions of opium-based drugs. They take the pain away from you.

Adrenocorticotropic hormone is a stress hormone that can harm our physical health. We tend to feel better after dissolving into tears due to the release of this hormone from our body.

Just tasted this at Pak Hailam Kopitiam… yeap, the Nyonya coffin bread. The actual name is longer, but I have a short memory, so….

This French toast-like bread which is originated from Taiwan has anchovies chili paste buried in it. Yes, the sambal that you eat with nasi lemak. However, this one doesn’t really look like a casket anyway, compared to the original one from Taiwan, of course.

Well, that was the first coffin that I ate. I think it tasted not bad, but it would be a lil too salty if you eat the anchovies paste alone without the bread. Though it’s called a bread, it is somehow kinda filling to me. Yeah, shouldn’t have judged a coffin by its cover… =|

Money Can’t Buy Happiness

Happy Teachers’ Day

I agree with the Japanese’s proverb “Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher”. That is why I spent my evening visiting my old school rather than studying at home :P
Well, it was so coincidental that it happened to be Teachers’ Day. I only realised it this morning when I checked my Facebook before going to school.

She’s my beloved art teacher, Puan Nasriah. She inspired me alot. Like really alot. I love art because of her. And I got A+ in Arts because of her… :’)

Meeting up with teachers and old pal, Barbara makes my day. Well, as usual, being a photographer, I can only stay behind the scene. I actually shot a few video clips. Too bad I still haven’t got an editor yet, so… I can’t share the joy with you here… *sighs*

Stressed and Depressed

My mind is like a stormy ocean these days. I could not concentrate on what the hell are my teachers saying in the class. All I want is to get all the shits done. PTPTN loans, EPF, scholarship etc.

I have to write letters and lab reports are due next week. I have to return to my old school to get things verified and I need to get my 1119 certificates. I have assignments to be done.

The weather is hot. My pocket is empty. All sorts of matter annoy me. I can’t help but to let my feelings out here. I feel like breaking down, but tears will just blur my vision.

I listened to Chopin’s Funeral March to calm myself. It didn’t help. I find it creepy. My neighbors are gonna lodge a complaint to me. I tend to forget things easily since last month. I forgot how to write the simplest essay. I lost confidence. I lost my spirits. My soul is wandering far away.

I’ve been so bad these days. Swearing and cursing are my secondary languages. I feel so dead. I feel that I’m falling apart. I feel gothic. That is the only thing that makes me happier.

I was thinking to change course, because everyone seems to frown upon my choice. On second thought, maybe I should stick to my choice because whatever I do is to be frowned upon.

A Cold Day in Genting

Well, spent the second last day of my holidays in Genting. And here are the souvenirs I brought… =) yes, photos. No souvenirs are better than the happy memories, right?

And I was forced to take stupid silly rides with brother.

Yup, this is air pollution. I’m kinda weird to take ugly photos, right? Yeah, I feel that it’s unfair to the ugly ones if we only pay attention to those nice ones.

Testing My New Phone Camera

Yes, I’m still learning to use my new Android phone. How lame? I don’t even know how to set up the Gmail. Well, cut the crap.

I just took a few shots to test the quality of the Xperia X8 camera. Hmm… I guess it’s better than my old Walkman phone. One thing I am not so satisfied about the Xperia phone is the battery. It doesn’t last as long as my previous phone.

And I still have the feeling that I looked better in photos taken by my Walkman phone.

A Long Day at Hospital

Well, just came back from Ampang Hospital after eight hours of waiting. Was there to accompany my grandma for her monthly checkup. And I guess I need to be admitted into a hospital now.

Erm, I hate to admit that today’s visit inspired me to not be a doctor anymore. Yeah, the grumpy faces of the doctors and medical attendants inspire me to die. Some of the nurses were better.

And oh, yes, my phone is dead. Crap! Couldn’t turn it on forever anymore! I guess it’s time to get a new pet. Well, why do I always have to fork out money when my money is running dry? T__T

Time of Loneliness

Don’t you hate it when you are having holidays and everyone else is busy with their studies and leave you all alone to rot?

Yeah, I heard that ‘getting a job’ lecture before. It’s kinda not so convenient to do so when I still have some blasted workshops to attend at the wrong time.

I understand that my old mates can’t find the time to hang out with me and my uni mates have to return to their hometown.

All I could do these days are taking random photos and playing Facebook games. How I wish I could live near my friends and have a pet doggie to accompany me? *sighs* Missing my dog right now…

The last exam of foundation is over. Yay! I’m supposed to be cheering, but I just don’t have the spirits. Well, no outings, no parties and just rot at home. Yeap, plans get botched all the times.

So, I decided to work on a feathered badge that I have been planning secretly since weeks ago. Here is the masterpiece.

Well, i have thought of putting it on and self-shot but the fear of shooting at night hindered me from doing so. Anyway, I have ample time to do so tomorrow morning.

This is another one, I called it the Purple Crown.. though it doesn’t have any prerogative to be called as a crown… maybe should just named it the Purple Thing… okay, this Purple Thing is a hairclip. And I’m out of ideas of what else to put in…

Trip to Kota Bharu

Passport, check! Luggage, check! Boarding pass, check! Yes, ready to escape from the city again, but this time, heading to the small town of Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

Yeah, it was a very tiring trip, especially, when it’s a business trip. Have some souvenirs for you, though… Yeah, photos of me and the town.

Yes, I know, I know, this is the third blog post about Avillion and Port Dickson… What to do? My mom just loves Avi Spa. My dad just loves the beach and my brother loves swimming and I just love fishing =)

And aha! This time, I brought a better camera with me… no more blurred and unclear sceneries, I hope.

Since, a picture paints a thousand words, I’m going to shut up and leave you in the company of them.

Just in case you don’t know what I was doing, I was actually fishing. My fishing rod was restrained by Poseidon for one whole day and only returned it to me on the last day… T___T

Okay, if you don’t get me, my fishing rod fell into the sea and got stuck in the mud. Perhaps, it’s a sign telling me not to fish… =\

Vines of Mine

Growing up with me for more than ten years, finally my vines fruit something’s sweet…!

Description of taste: like a sour sparkling grape juice with intense grape smell.
Description of quality: Unlike most grapes we can get in the market, this one has a waterproof kind of skin =X
Growth process:

It’s fully green! P/S. sorry, haven’t got a better camera at that moment of time… =(

Skin turning light pink.

Turned dark purplish and it’s ready to be harvested! It takes about hmm… few weeks time, about one month plus to turn fully purple.

Ruined Candle Night

Whenever I’m in action, I hate interruption, no matter who’s the distraction. I am really extremely angry at my brother who made a mess in the effing kitchen when I’m trying to make something to eat.

I had my stereo on, with French love songs. The lights turned low and my mood was good. He ruined my whole night! He made my eggs burnt on the pan, clogged the sink and got the salad mixed on the floor.

I lost my mood and even my appetite. I thought I could pamper myself with a good night after a day’s labour in the exam hall with biology paper. In the end, a can of Calsberg and it’s called a day… =_=

Worst Day Ever

First of all, Physics, game over. Well, maybe I should forget about taking medic course. What a cruel morning. Well, that’s fine… more devastating events followed up.

I mistakenly mixed the solutions in the lab today… which I was lucky enough not to cause an explosion. And guess what, I did not even know that I had class in the afternoon until the lab tech had to call me… =.=

The course selection is coming soon and I still did not know what course to take… I hate this, man! I hate making choices… =(

My Way to Make Physics more Interesting

Okay, most of the students hate physics because it’s all about the crapped up formulas and theories created by super smart geniuses… well, okay, I hate physics too, but that’s different when I began to watch SAW…

Haha, actually I wasn’t so into SAW until my friend, Valerie told me about it. I hated the first chapter because it was super boring, but I began to find it interesting after watching the second chapter. Hahaha, and now, I start giving nicknames to those in my uni according to the SAW characters… LOL =)

Oh, that’s not something’s new because I have a weird hobby of giving names to my schoolmates since a very young age. And yes, even to people I don’t know and lecturers… shhhh. And well, they don’t know about it. Only me… and some of my close friends know… =D

And I just realized that after naming my lecturers and some of my classmates, I find it more exciting to get up in the morning to go to school just to make fun of them… hahahahah! Actually not really making fun of them like pulling nasty pranks. We just see how much related are my classmates to the characters that we named them. It’s pretty fun actually… =D

And dear Wilee,

Guess what, today Jigsaw played a ‘switch and bulb’ game with us and the drug dealer’s got the answer, man! The pendulum victim, who told us the door is locked couldn’t get the answer… neither do Valerie and I…=(

P/S. Others pls forget about it. You won’t get it… :D

Okay, and I’ve been working in the lab these days. People there are friendly. Well, I must believe that my dreams are coming true, in the wrong way. And one of my dreams, which is to turn back time to the days when I was younger, actually comes true… yeah, the wrong way, in the lab. I’m not gonna tell why. And just, you know, beware of what you wish for.

Nothing much happened in the lab. And I’m grateful… Really hope that this happiness will remain. And I just realized, I don’t need to wake up from my fantasy because I’m really happier being here…man!!!

A Dramatic Day at Hospital

Another piece of shit I’m crapping today. My grandmother was admitted to the hospital yesterday and I almost crashed my car rushing home from school.

And today I had no class, so I paid a visit to the hospital with my dad. He always want me to be a doctor. Not only him, even some of my friends told me to. Well, how can i ever graduate with my crapped up results?

Anyway, no one wants a doctor like me. Back to the story, after visiting her, we went to take an escalator. Just as usual, the elevator reached and my dad and I walked nearer to wait for the door to open.

Suddenly, as the door opens, I saw an old man standing in the middle of the elevator, heads tilting down. I was really shocked, and hesitated to enter until he moved aside for us to go in.

I walked in, fighting my urge to laugh at my silly reaction. Luckily I wasn’t alone and it was still day yet… else, I’m sure mind-blowing things will happen… =X
